UPM Sports Academy began operating on 1 January 2004. This establishment is based on the existing expertise in sports science at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Along with the progress of sports at a high level, the UPM Sports Academy is committed to creating a paradigm shift in national sports by building a niche in the application of the latest technology in competitive sports.
