SERDANG, 16 Jul - Sports Academy, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has organized an online course in the field of Sports Politics, which is 'Sports Politics Foundation Level 1 (A)' on 16 July 2020 (Thursday). This course starts at 10.00am to 1.00pm for 3 hours.

The Sports Politics Foundation Level 1 (A) course discusses sports politics in general and the current state of sports in the country. This course also provides basic knowledge of sports skills, tasks, roles and functions in detail.

The line-up speakers for Sports Politics Foundation Level 1 (A) course is Prof. Dato' Dr. Shamala Subramaniam, Director of Sports Academy, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Dr. Wirdati Mohd Radzi, Malaysian Sports Commissioner and Dato' Dr. Haji Azhar Ahmad, Doctoral of Politics and Government, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

The Sports Politics Foundation Level 1 (A) course is also one of the online course under the Sports Academy, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Three Pulse Program. The total number of participants who have participated in this sports politics course is 88 participants consisting of coaches, athletes, students and the public.

This online course was conducted through the Zoom Meeting platform and each speaker was given about an hour to discuss the topics and question and answer session with the participants.

Akademi Sukan, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has received a good response from the participants of the Sports Politics Foundation Level 1 (A) course and hopes that this sports politics course will have an impact on the participants.

Akademi Sukan, Universiti Putra Malaysia also intends to further organize sports politics courses in various topics in the future with a line of speakers who are professional and experienced in the field of sports politics.
