National judo athlete Nur Farah Izzati Wallah presented the first gold for the Malaysian contingent at the ASEAN University Games (AUG) Surabaya-Malang 2024 on Wednesday.

The Perak-born athlete from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) won the medal after defeating Indonesian athlete Maryam March Maharani in the Under 52 kilogram event.
