SUMMER SPORTS PROGRAM 2025 INTRODUCES MALAYSIAN SPORTS CULTURE TO STUDENTS OF ZHEJIANG CHINESE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
SERDANG, 24 August 2025 – The Summer Sports Program 2025, organized by the UPM Sports Academy in collaboration with Eddy Education Online Global Service Center Sdn. Bhd., successfully achieved its objective of introducing Malaysian sports and culture to seven students from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University participating in a mobility program in Malaysia.
Held from 26 July to 24 August, the program offered comprehensive exposure to various aspects of local culture, including language learning, traditional sports, and modern sports activities. Key activities conducted throughout the program included Malay language classes, English language classes, Silat, Sepak Takraw, Pickleball, Scuba Diving, Golf, Wall Climbing, and Kayaking.
According to the program report, participants showed great enthusiasm in learning traditional Malaysian sports such as silat and sepak takraw. They were also excited to try modern sports that provided them with new and memorable experiences. The program further encouraged a healthy lifestyle, teamwork, and strong camaraderie among the participants.
This initiative also fostered positive interactions between the international students and the UPM campus community, helping to build meaningful connections throughout the month-long program. Through the language sessions, participants also improved their basic communication skills in Malay and English.
Overall, the Summer Sports Program 2025 made a significant impact, giving participants valuable exposure to Malaysian sports and culture while creating memorable experiences through their engagements with UPM students and staff.
