SERDANG, 13 June 2025 – The Sports Academy at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) marked a significant milestone today with the hosting of its 100th Institute Board of Directors Meeting, highlighting the institution's commitment to strengthening governance and guiding the future of research institutes within UPM.
The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hamiruce bin Marhaban, Director of the Sports Academy, brought together Directors from 11 different UPM institutes. Key discussions centered around pivotal topics such as human resource management, research priorities, graduate studies, industry and community partnerships, and financial strategies.
A focal point of the meeting was addressing strategic issues that align with UPM’s long-term vision as a premier research university. The gathering served as an important platform to set future directions, ensuring UPM remains at the forefront of academic and research excellence.
This milestone underscores UPM's ongoing dedication to fostering collaboration among its institutes, building stronger networks, and ensuring sustainable excellence across all disciplines.
